I'm sorry I wasn't clear in what I said. Let me try it a different way:
If you can measure the width of the wheel at the rim, the actual wheel width as far as the tire mounting is concerned is the inside width, not the outside width. If the wheel measures 7" across on the outside, and I know the Fiero has about 1/2" thick lips, the nominal width is 6".
That being said, according to the Fiero Online Service Guide
http://floridafieros.org/osg/wheels.html the 14" wheels were all 6" wide (7" across outside). I know from experience the offsets are different between the 14x6 Tech wheels used on the Fiero and that same size used on other GMs of the era. The Fiero wheel's hub is more recessed, giving it the appearance of a "lip" whereas the front wheel drive car versions had the hub virtually flush with the bead.
Here is the front wheel drive version:

And the rear wheel drive Fiero version:

Both are the same size.
Note: In the first link, for the OSG, there is an error in the offsets mentioned for the 15x7 lace wheels. Contrary to what the OSG says, all the fiero 15x7 lace wheels have the same offset regardless of year model, and in fact use the same casting part number.
