The car was running fine, then lost power and stumbled to the mechanic.
Timing has been checked, distributor checked, timing chain and gears changed, crankshaft bolts changed...
Still, no change (as the "Twilight Zone" episode said); so again I ask for suggestions.
Happy Valentine's Day, Forum!!

Fuel pump and exhaust system are fine.
Not sure about the codes - car is at the mechanics.

Original cat? May have disintegrated and accumulated in the muffler; restricting the flow?

EGR tube cracked?

Vacuum leak?

How do you know the fuel system and exhaust system is fine?

So I take it you're really not looking for any troubleshooting help. Correct?

Has the mechanic tried removing the header connection? It'll be load as hell but it will tell you if the exhaust is obstructed.
Has the mechanic tried checking the fuel pressure? I'm sure he'd be GLAD to tell you if he got showered by the Schrader valve

The people here are really trying to help but it helps if they get some feedback to their suggestions as to how the system was checked or why you feel it's okay.

Just my $0.02

Is the "Mechanic" Competent ?! He changed the timing chain, obviously didn't need it. changed the "Crank BOLTS "??? HOW did he check the distributor? Has it got spark ? will it start if you spray "quick start fluid "into the air intake ? This didn't happen shortly "after you got gas", did it ? need more info.
