Is there a shim to put in behind the flywheel after you machine it down. A guy said he thought there might be. I had a clutch blow up and I don't want to tear that thing apart again. So I wanted to be sure there wasn't one. It is for the 2.8 w/ a 4 speed.

There is no flywheel on an auto; it's a flex plate and it doesn't get machined.

When I had the flywheel machined, the machinist made a shim for the flywheel, which was put on with the flywheel.
