I bought an aftermarket EGR valve (duralast) and I cant find the oem part number for the egr to cross reference on the sheet of orifice washer sizes. Does anyone know what size it needs to be? My searches yielded nothing.

I just did this last winter on a customer's car so I'll search through the records and post what I find. Give me an hour or so.

Merry Christmas to you too fierogt28!

For BlackEmerald, I remember now that I ran into a similar problem too but luckily I remembered how I solved it. Neither my part number nor ID number matched up with any of the numbers on the chart. What I did instead is replace the two EGR pipe gaskets. One of them has a metered orifice which does the same thing as the metering washers that come with the aftermarket EGR valves. You can still get the pipe gaskets from GM so they will be sized correctly, but unfortunately I didn't jot down the size of the hole. That gasket part number is 10038300 and has the additional ID numbers 66MM LG on it too. If you haven't replaced either pipe gasket, you should be good to go without using any washers on the EGR valve itself.

On the other hand, if you want to use the steel metering washer, here's some info that might help match your reference chart:

EGR part number: 17110813 (alternative: 17085897)
ID number: CXF 113 61

Hope this helps... Merry Christmas!

(eidt to add gasket part number)

So what you are saying if I haven't changed any of the rest of the system, I should be good to go without using any of the washers?

I'm 99% certain that is the case. Obviously if a previous owner has fooled around with the tube gaskets and didn't replace them with the proper ones, then there may be a problem. If you're not in a hurry to get the car on the road, I'd replace the two pipe gaskets on spec because they do get clogged up with carbon, especially the one with the metered hole.

Did you try to cross-reference any of the numbers I posted to your aftermarket chart?

And you must stake the "washer" or it will leak and you can lose it. V6 isn't bad if you lose it but L4 can get loose in valve and wreck the engine.

EGR is in 22P and in my cave.... although I didn't have the alternate # for V6.
See cave, emission in general engine section.

Ok, so we returned the duralast EGR, and my mechanic was able to locate an EGR from a dealer for about 10 dollars more. We got the part numbers, and they were the same for the numbers that Bloozberry posted, and I think that the part will have the part that goes down from the bottom of the EGR that the aftermarket one didn't have. Also the alternate part number Bloozberry gave was on the list and was telling you to use the number 11 washer, but of course our kit didn't have that washer anyway.

I'm pretty sure I saw a number 11 washer in my left-over kit earlier today. I can go measure the orifice tomorrow and post what size it is so you can use the next closest one you have. If you were closer, I'd mail it to you but by the time it gets there it could be Easter! Again, I don't think the metering is done at the EGR itself on the OEM models, rather, it's done by the pipe gasket. The gasket has a metal washer bonded to it with a specific sized hole. I can take a picture of a spare one I have if you'd like.
