I used to drive a Cobalt as a DD and beg to differ on the awesomeness of the dash lol, Fiero dash for life!! Good luck if you ever attempt it, quite a project.
In case you haven't driven a Cobalt, the dash is put together VERY cheaply as is the rest of the car. My fiero with 96k is more rattle free than an 09 Cobalt with 15k on it.....

My sis drives a 2008 Cobalt. Tight as a drum and I like it.
That is the Miata dash. Looks great...but seemed like a lot of work judging by the build thread. Besides, I am kinda partial to keeping things GM. I was thinking a G6 dash would look good in a Fiero....

Anyone ever try to graft in a dash from a Vette, or is it too wide?? Cobalt dash is cool, for a 15k car. I personally would prefer something a little more upscale and classy though.
