Hi Everyone, I bought my car without a horn, and I'm reallllly missing honking at people! Haha. Does anyone have any good aftermarket horn suggestions? One that sounds good and can be mounted in the stock location. I would have to rewire the horn because I can't find any stock wiring, so it doesn't have to be plug and play. I looked on ebay and theres a lot of cheap horns, but I'm not sure if they would sound good or last because they are unbranded and coming from China. Thanks

A few years ago, I went out and got a 170db air horn off of ebay. It's made to sound like a locomotive, and it has an extra port on the air tank so I can fill my tires and run pneumatic tools out on the road. It's awesome!! Best part, I used to have it on a Ford Festiva I owned. I kinda enjoyed getting cut off for awhile. :P I don't know if the page is still there, but you could check.

Get want you pay for... cheap... If you try it then don't be surprise when they go bad in 1-2 years. Pepboy and etc has cheap air horns to... same problem. See cave. horns in electrical section
Use search in here and general fiero (archive too)

Cool looking horns are useless unless they're mounted on top of the cab or fender where you can see them
I bought a set of DeLorean horns for $15 each, plus shipping. Had a good sound and loud, too. Recently I bought a set horns for another car at Advance for $15 each and no shipping. They're just as loud and sound identical to the DeLoreans.

So many options.... This is a little played out, but you could try a musical horn too, like a Dixie one or something. Or, even try to graft in a horn from other vehicles. Love to see a Fiero with some high end Lambo or Ferrari sound.

No! Don't get that. Same crap is sold at Harborfreight. Had two (so cheap, $10 at HF store) and neither lasted more than a month. I think the best advice here is go to the junkyard and get one from a big car.

I went with Delorean horns a few years ago. The FedX guy showed up with a big grin on his face. Delorean name was on the box. Next day I found a Delorean magazine in my front door. He must of thought I had one. Apparently he did.

Easiest? Get the horns off a large GM sedan or SUV. However, I went with dual trumpet FIAMM air horns I bought at Advance Auto. They're pretty cheap, and they've been working fine for a couple of years now. Air horns CAN be reliable, but they're not as easy to make reliable as electric horns. With electric, it's typically just plug & play. With air horns, you have to fab a bracket, and make sure your electrical connections are solid. I'm an electrical engineer, so the electrical side didn't bother me, but it took me several hours to fab a working bracket.
