have an 88 with a duke in it. sick sick little duke.

IAC, O2, TPS are all new. No vacuum leaks as I just replaced the vacuum lines. Have run engine with egr blocked and unblocked.

Problem is that as long as the engine is cold, it will not stay running. When it is warm, it will idle, but it does little dips on the tach.

Checked fuel injector, still sprays a mist not a stream. When I open the throttle body by moving the ignition cable it is spotlessley clean inside (to my surprise at 95k miles.)

Map sensor appears to work because the car cannot hard accelerate without it plugged in.

Any ideas? Idles at 1500 rpm most of the time for some reason.

Check the resistance of the CTS and the Intake Air Charge Temperature Sender. The resistance is measured pin to pin. Compare it to the following table. Both use this look up table.

Note - the temperature gauge sending unit does nothing but drive the gauge. It does not in any way affect the operation of the engine.
