I have an 86 fiero and the coolant tube that mounts up under the intake manifold has a pin hole in it. I can't find a replacement part for it anywhere. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get a replacement part? I have read some other threads for 88 Fieros that suggest that this tube is not required. Is this true in the case of an 86 fiero with 2.5 liter engine having a carburator?

Thanks for your help. Need to get the car back on the road.

Take the tube off and put a piece of hose over the leak. Clamp at both sides of the hose. If you need to cut the tube at the leak to get the hose on. You have rubber hoses that connect the metal lines to the engine, adding a third isn't much of an issue.

Or just remove it completely and plug at the stat. Many run without them. I took it off my 3.4 and had no problems in -10* winter.

That coolant tube you're talking about (on the '86 Duke) is for the heater. It uses an odd type of connector to plug into the intake manifold.

It's not uncommon for that hose fitting to start leaking. Unfortunately, I don't know of a quick fix. But I've heard of people replacing the plug on the intake with a standard hose fitting, and splicing in a piece of hose.
