I have an 88 Formula with 3800SC and Getrag. I have had a lot or problems with the clutch engagement/slave/master, so I am looking to replace the centerforce clutch with Clutchnet. I am almost all city driving, with heavy and SLOW traffic. Hour drive back and forth sitting in traffic, so I want something with a soft clutch pedal, and a clutch that won't get torn up with all the riding of the cluch. After seeing all the opinions on here about the brands, it looks like Clutchnet is preferred. I am just not sure which clutch is best for me, and would last the longest given my needs

Clutchnet is recommending the yellow presure plate with an organic disk and say it should hold up to 370hp. Does anyone have this setup, and what are your thoughts? If you have a different preference or suggestion, please let me know.

umm well i was reccommened from a user on here for my 4.9 swap that i use level red clutch and a 6 puck racing friction plate. so i dunno about organic and as far as clutchs i have no real experiance. but i read organic doesnt need a brake in time and that the one i was recommended is for racing so im up in the air as well. i just dont want to burn thru flywheels from a friction plate that is to harsh or strickly for the strip.

Never used a clutchnet one, but I learned at spec you need to go big or go home.

How long have your clutches been lasting? You don't have an issue with the clutch dragging, do you? Like it isn't fully releasing with the pedal in?

Last Summer is was starting to slip anyway, and with the (seemingly) hydraulic issues, a trans shop strongly suggested pulling the trans and checking the clutch. It has new masters/slaves, and I bled the heck out of it. It could be hydraulic, worn fork, crack, who knows. I want to repalce the clutch anyway, so I need opinions on the one to get.

For as many times I see folks raving about "clutchnet," I figured I'd see lots of posts here. Am I asking the wrong questions, or are there not really that many folks using clutchnet? Are there any suggestions for a good clutch?

Go with what clutch net recommends. Organic disk will give you the most forgiveness with stop-and-go traffic. You won't get that Bite from a ceramic disk that is bad on the trans anyways. If they say it will hold then buy it, put it in and let us know. If it doesn't hold then hopefully they will be good on their word and send you something that holds "370hp"

I do not want to do the labor twice. If it doesn't hold, I get stuck with the bill twice. I am trying to avoid that. Hoping to find a decent (proven) clutch or some folks with clutchnet.
