As the title says, it flashes on once, I've tied to pull codes nothing but 12, so it's nothing with the ECM. Migr it also be related to my tach tacking out randomly. Also it appears that im charging at about 16 volts.

They only thing I've done recently was replace one set of headrest speakers

Test how? Dash meter? Test at battery using a real meter.

Would you believe loose battery cables, I must not have tightened them all the way when I replaced it a while ago. Problem seems to have gone away. Felt like an idiot though when I went to get the alt tested

Are you sure that it's not just the idle dropping too low when you take your foot off the gas causing a momentary stall like condition and it's the "bulb check" function that you're seeing? is it only the SES light?

I think the over volt situation was what made the ECM signal the SES light on. The ECM does report the input voltage to the ALDL data stream
