I was searching Craigslist and found some Cobalt SS rims. They are 5X100 with a bigger hub bore. Will they work will hub centric rings?

Not sure if this will help, buuuuuut: I pulled two wheels off my wife's HHR SS (Which uses the same platform as the Cobalt) and put them on my 88 just for a look and they fit great! They looked pretty good as well! Hope this will give you a little more info to work with.

They fit properly? Any pics? Cobalts actually use a 5x110 pattern (except for the base models which are 4 lugs). Fieros are 5x100.

According to this website the 05-07 SS uses a 5x100 with the same offset as a Fiero. What I can see is different is the hub bore.

click the link to see the wheels.

Trust me, that website is wrong. They've been using 5x110 since the beginning. Its the same pattern as the G6.

I have the same Cobalt and same wheels as pictured in your link (2.4L SS) and its wheels really don't fit on the Fiero. They're 5x110 not 5x100.

I did not take any pics (not really big into taking shots of stuff like that ). Possibly the HHR SS and the Cobalt SS have different bolt patterns? As I understand it, the two cars are on the same platform, so I assumed the bolt patterns would be the same. THere was not an issue fitting, though it could be possible that the hub bore may be larger on the HHR which I was not looking for, just curious what they would look like.

There is a page on here that lists all the possible wheels that fit.
I know PT cruiser is on there.
There are a bunch of others.

psychosurfer~did you actually bolt them on? I did some more research and found that the HHR and the Cobalt SS are 5x110.

Steve, I did bolt them on and "snug" them as well. I did not drive it. If I had the time and energy when both the vehicles are together, I would take photos. Like I said, they do fit, the hub may be a larger bore than the Fiero but I did not check it. THis was one of those things you do when you get a new car and are bored. There are several other members here with HHR SSs, I wonder if they have the time and interest to do a swap and take a pic or two???

I remember a few years ago there was a person here who, with very little modification, bolted Taurus SHO wheels (which if I recall are 5X115). There were pics of that install.

If you like this style of wheel, look at the Audi TT 17 inch five spoke wheel. It looks very similar to the Cobalt SS wheels and has a centre bore of 57.1 mm just like OEM fiero wheels and has a 5 x 100 mm bolt pattern. Only difference is the offset, they are 7.5 inch wide with a 32 mm offset. If your car is an 88, I don't think these will work on the front of the car.

A little machine work and new lugs. I like them so much, I've had them on three of my cars.
