My car came originally with the 5-speed getrag, previous owner swapped in the 4-speed muncie - the backup light connector is hanging free now and obviously my reversing lights don't work. Where does the plug go?

1986 GT V6. Thanks all

My 84 Muncie has the BU switch at the shifter, not at the trans.

All 4 speeds have the reverse light switch on the shifter. Look for a connector with a blue and green wire laying there in the console. The colors will be the same as the extra connector at the tranny.

Power comes on the blue. Green connects to the back up lights.

I might have an extra one for you. Have to look in my bins, but pretty sure I have a 4 speed shifter assembly. Let me know if you need it or if you already found one?

A picture is worth a thousand words... the four speed shifter is the one in the backround of this photo. The little black box near the bottom center of the shifter is the back-up switch. It has two pins for an electrical connector on it.
