The stock cam has a .394/.410 lift.
The Comp Cams camshafts are single profile camshafts. The single profile increases mid to high rpm power but doesn't increase low end power.
They have 3 cam choices for the 2.8L/3.1L/3.4L engines.
H240 = .390/.390
H252 = .425/.425
H264 = .440/.440
http://www.compperformanceg...y_Code=CHEV466Cam173While they are decent cams, Unless you plan on changing the intake and porting the heads, They will not give you that much more of a performance increase.
Again they do noting for the low end.
A better choice for a camshaft on the 2.8L would be a dual profile camshaft. Crane and Crower make some decent cams from mild to wild.
The Crane H260 is a dual profile cam that will give you a decent boost in power. There H272 is excellent for power.
http://cranecams.com/Crower has 4 different cams.
Their "Mileage Beast" is the same specs as the stock 2.8L cam
The "Baja Beast" is similar to the Edelbrock cam
The "Ultra-Performance Compu-Pro" is similar top the Crane H260
and the "Hi-Draulic Hauler" is similar to the Crane H272

Dual-Profile cams are much better suited for the smaller displacement V-6's especially the 60* V-6's as they give a better balance of low-mid-upper power and a wider power band.
