When i was removed the engine i found some brown cylinder shaped plastic on the floor. i'm guessing it came from one of the shifter cables. Here are some pics, if anyone can tell me where it came from i would appreciate it. If it came from the cable do i need a new one? i was only able to find one piece of the multiple pieces i had found, so the pics are of the same one. sorry i forgot to mention this, my tranny is a Getrag

thanks,
billy

The cables look just fine to me, as far as I can tell. Unless I'm missing something. I don't know where that could have come from.

did the pieces you had connect together at all? did you hear it fall when you were messing with the cable/s? Im not recognising that piece there. I took my cables out and replaced them a little wile ago and don't recale anything that looked like that I could be wrong though. It kinda looks like a metal sleeve bushing but its plastic and that little tab thing? wish i could be of more help

i found the pieces on the floor transmission side after i removed the cradle. from the shape and everything i figured they came from the cables, but im really not sure where it came from. i thought someone else might have some ideas or info.
