So my car has been stalling at the bottom of a huge hill ever since I got it. A long 1 mile very steep drop hill when I slow to make a turn it stalls then wants to die at every slow down or stop. I have tried everything. Anyway it never threw codes until today. I ran it for a while the last few days to try and get it to stall and get some voltages from some sensors when it is in stall crappy running mode. Well i checked the codes again and I got.......code 24. Speed Sensor. Can anyone elaborate on that?

I don't know if this will help you at all but he had a similar issue. He had issues with the engine not related to the speed sensor yet had a code 24:

The 2nd post on the pages shows how to adjust the IAC with the measurements.

Thanks IMSA. I didn't touch my IAC though. I cleared it I guess I will see if it comes back. So does the speed sensor supply any data to the ECM in order to run the engine?

Yes it does

The VSS feeds the speedo. The speedo has a board that feeds the ECM. The ECM uses the vehicle speed. For example if the car is in gear and your going down a long hill it would not expect the engine to idle like normal.

When did the SES light come on? When you were moving? When you were stopped?

That is the problem. My dash is flakey. So I did not see it come one because it was shorted out. I fixed the dash yesterday and noticed my SES was working again when I turned teh key so that is what prompted me to pull codes. I cleared it so tonight when I go home and down that big hill I will see if it stalls or if the SES comes on.
