I noticed that on the supply of Raybestos tie rods that I have, the arm with the internal threads is shorter than on the OEM rod ends. This allows for picking up less threads than before and in the rear this could be a weakness. Could it be that tie rods from other applications are being boxed as Fiero items? Anyone else notice this phenomenon?

The Firebird tie rods work just fine I use them on mine and they are heavier than the Fiero oem tie rods.

Front or rear?. I have been using USA made Raybestos tie rods ends but the length of the shanks just don't look quite right to me.
Correction are you using Firebird front rod ends on the front or rear of your Fiero?

the part numbers for the master pro and for the moog parts are the same... im wondering if theyre the same exact parts just branded differently or if its a screw up on the website?? its double the price for the moog parts compared to master pro parts...

Reboxing/rebranding is a common thing. I bought an "off brand" tie rod once because it said Made In USA on the box. In the box was a Raybestos piece at 50% less than the Raybestos.
When you buy suspension parts, just watch out for the cheap Chinese manufactured stuff ( commonly called "OE parts") as they are made from impure scrap steel, (that is soft) will wear quickly and won't last long.
