A quick question, reading that in 1988 only 241 cars were factory yellow, is this true? does this include all standard and automatic trannies? I just picked up one in yellow, was thinking of changing color, but if this rare i will keep original color?

I have heard the same from other sources. Never had it confirmed, though.

To my knowledge, that number sounds close to what I've read. I suppose it is a somewhat "rare" fiero, but it would hurt the value if you paint over it. To me, if you have a 2-3k car, the fact that it is a "rare factory yellow" doesn't make it a 5-6k car. It's more comforting to know that you have one of a few that were produced. So I think you should go with the color you like, I've always been partial to yellow anyways. Have any pics?

Yes, and the number is even lower for "built for Canada" cars: https://www.fiero.nl/forum/F...075626.html#lastpost

What area did you get the car from? I was looking at one out west but I believe it sold recently.

I have seen this chart floating around before, im not sure how accurate it is but it says 88 was the only year which they made yellow and according to this they made ~1200 of them.

I think the 241 is GT's not total cars.

If anyone has a list that says how many GT's in each color I'd be interested in seeing it.

I do believe the yellow GT was the least produced combo in 88, but I may be biased.

yellow 88 GT, not stock
white 88 notchie, 4 banger

There were only 6848 GT's produced in 88. I had a listing of colors by year and model, but can't locate it at the moment. The ~1200 figure may include the 5475 Formulas.

You are correct. Total production automatic and manual was 241 units. This is the lowest production color/model combination of Fiero produced.

Yes, 241 yellow GTs were built in 88. Canadian yellow GTs imported were only 20 units.

The yellow painted 88GTs were the least and rarest color. Second was silver, then medium metallic red, white, black, and bright red was most popular.

There were only 423 GTs imported to Canada and no T-Top cars were imported.
