I have an 86GT withthe performance sound system. I know the sub is missing but the enclosure is still there. Where exactly would the amp be located if its still there? Thanks

In your sig. pic. about 8" in front of the left front corner of the passenger seat
under the carpet on the hump, behind a plastic shroud.

I believe it is behind the plastic tunnel cover - behind the carpet - below the AC/Radio surround on the right side? Or is it the left side? One side is the AC control and the other hlds the amp.

The drivers side was for cruise control if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks guys, got ambitious and went ahead and pulled the dash out! I felt up in the sub enclosure and there were no wires si I figured the amp had been pulled. After pulling the dash I found the missing wires and traced them back the amp. Woo Hoo!!! Now all I need is a 5-1/4 sub. FOund a few on e-bay. Noticed when I was pullin gthe dash that someone has already upgraded to pioneer speakers up front!
