Trying to figure out if I need to replace my window motor, or if it sounds like it could be something else with the window mechanism. One window is now stuck about halfway down and will go up and down smoothly about 3 inches in both directions but will start grinding when it gets to those points.

Either way, you will need to pull the motor/regulator unit out of the door to see the problem. You may have a bad gear on the regulator or the motor..... I did a write up about installing power windows that may help you... www.michiganfieroclub.com has my tech article.
