Not so fast, your info was wrong. I had to change you to a negative. J/K, I had thought I had you at a positive already, not even sure why I checked. You keep your positive,

.
But, I need more information.

Which I assumed when I looked at the right front speaker wires. The right rear wires are red and black. The left front speaker wires are gray and tan like my 87 Shop Manual says but the left rear I still have to expose. Which I will at first light. I would rather put the passenger side back together first though.

I,m surprised they didn't make the connector reversible. Industry standard was a (-) for negative and (+) for positive. For the layman this A & B business means nothing. I've seen some manufacturers go as far as putting a red dot next to one of the spk terminals.????##@. Anything to keep you guessing. Makes one wonder why GM didn't go the extra mile and stamp an (A) & (B) on the battery cables and make them both black with plenty of slack. End of rant............. Spoon

No no, rant not over,

.
Yeah. What is up with that crap,

? What if every manufacturer had their own wrench sizes ? Did you know that phillips screws (although an improvement) came about to keep the back yard mechanic from having the tools needed. The same with torx and allen head bolts. Everything requires a special tool. Not much of a surprise that American manufacturing is seemingly taking a back seat. Things are designed to wear out and/or need factory service. Instead of making us pay for service , hunt for advice, or buy new, they should build products which we can work on and offer assistance.
