Most of your Haynes / Chilton service manuals (for the 3800 donor car) do a decent job. How detailed are you looking to get?

well, what i did was take the engine apart without paying attention to much detail (stupid). so i need to know what goes where exactly and and what bolts go where, cause i mixed mine up.

No, a service manual is the Factory one < the one you want.
The chiltion or Hayes suck as far as telling you anything .

Look up www.gmtuners.com He has most of the manuals for download there!
Also He is a real good source of info on the 3800.

You can also try this:
http://www.3800pro.com/foru...lation-l67-tech.html

It is a step by step guide on taking the engine down and assembly for a cam install, which is pretty much everything on the top end except the heads.

Just take any product advice from that site with a grain of salt.

Go to alldatadiy.com and get a year subscription for the donor vehicle you got the engine from. A subscription costs about $27 and contains everything you need to reassemble your engine. It has a search function and also lets you print the sections you need. I find it more convenient than the printed manual.

If you prefer a printed manual, watch ebay for the factory service manual for the donor car. I paid $40 for a 2000 GTP manual.
