occasionally my 86 gt auto has stalled (3-4 times in 6 months) wen coming to a stop it will start back up right away when i turn the key, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if it was fairly common i've never seen it mentioned on here...

this an automatic?
sounds like the torque convertor lockup is sticking
form any stop - or just from a speed above 40mph?

yup it is an automatic... and it is 40 and over the first time was a stop light on an exit ramp then recently (last night) i would say 40 or 50 (cant say for sure my vss came unplugged some how)

well, that sure does sound like the TCC. you can unplug it. on the tranny, you will see a 4 line square connector - pull it.
no more TCC
this will slightly lower your fuel mileage - but, keep the car from doing this until you can get it fixed.
