Would Mobil 1 synthetic grease be acceptable in a headlight motor, or do I need to go buy something else?

When I ordered my rebuild kit from Rodney Dickman, it came with some type of thick organic grease. Had a strong scent to it and was very hard to clean off of my hands.

I'd recommend you shoot him an email about it. Good stuff. I doubt any kind of thin grease would be adequate as there are spaces where it can ooze out.

I use the clear silicone grease that pool store supplies for their pool pumps and connections. It comes in a little pill round container and tube.

I remember that grease, yes hard to wash off.
I would say "LubriMatic/Stant Corperation's disc. & drum high temperature wheel bearing grease would be a close guess to what Rodney supplies. I hope Rodney replies, I always wondered this question myself.

Thank you, everyone, for your suggestions. I have used the white lithium grease in the past and it has served well, but I have the synthetic wheel bearing grease on hand and I am wondering if there is any reason not to use it.

I have always used wheel bearing grease. ( Valvoline Hi-Temp Disc Brake Bearing Grease)
Maybe a little too thick/heavy duty (over the top if you will) in some people's opinion but I
havent really had any problems.

plain Wheel bearing grease is fine,, more than OK

Lubri plate is a superior lubricant for window tracks especially ,,and many other Fiero lube points,, but most people will not have it & will never buy it..you brush it on !!
In colder climates lubri plate much better ,not so thick,,your windows and Head lights will lift easier and faster
