Ok, I got the wife's 85 up and running. I has been setting for about 6 months or so. I bought it with a busted brake line and a bad clutch master cylinder for 400.00. Best part, the engine is a GM Reman that still has about 70,000 miles of warranty. Anyway, got the brake line fixed, replaced the clutch master cylinder, and am able to drive it. Problem is, I think that the brake master cylinder is going bad. Also, this thing needs shocks and struts bad, like all 4 corners a shot. Anyway, I can pull the master off my 87 and put on this one, but I would like to upgrade the master and brakes, but need bolt on from the local pick and pull. Also, does anyone know of other cars I can pull the shocks and struts off of, since there are so many Cash for cluncker cars in there, there are alot of good suspension parts for cheap. It has the stock 14 inchers on it, and I am planning on keeping them, or maybe getting a set of the lace 15's off of a GT, so I don't want to do anything that causes me to have to buy aftermarket wheels. Any help is appriciated.

No one has any ideas? I really need some different struts on the back, and can't afford to buy new ones right now. Any help is greatly appriciated.

I looked up if KYB struts for the Fiero interchange with any other vehicles, and it looks like no dice.

Sorry.

Fiero suspension is designed only for itself. Gabreils are cheap in the US, so I'd say go with a set of them. I bought a pair of rear struts from Autozone for $50 a piece when I was at the 25th show. Up here in Toronto, I would pay over $100+ a piece easily. I paid $350 CDN for the KYB's on my GT, ebay used to have sets for around $150US with free shipping (only in US)

Monroe gas shocks start at 45 and work their way up.

www.strutmasters.com

I recommend you go there. Great pricing, and decent shipping. I ordered upper strut plates and had them within 7 business days.

As for the brakes...

Pontiac Grand Am, 1988-89 (and other years)... Front brake calipers, two sets of them. Two front left, and two front right calipers, plus the pads plus the rotors.

The front hubs on your car need to be machined down to just a hub. A shop could do this for you for 50 bucks or so.
Then the grand am rotors go on, and the calipers bolt right on. All four corners.

Check Ebay often. I bought a set of new Gabriel struts last week for $40 for the pair. Got them in a few days ago and everything looks good to me.

Thanks all. I was afraid I wasn't gonna be able to go to the Pick and Pull and get anything. I will get the grand am setup though. I'll start looking on line and see what I can find, and also check prices through work. Who knows, maybe I can get then fairly cheap there.
