Should be able to go to any Automotive parts store and tell them you need a "negative (-) battery cable", or the "battery ground wire" for an 86 Pontiac Fiero GT. It should come with the correct ends on it.
don't work on a car drunk, you end up working much harder in the end.

Sounds to me like you have a low voltage problem. If you have a VOM (volt ohm meter) put it to the current setting(amps), remove the battery cable and place the meter between the battery cable and the battery. this will tell you what your current draw is. What is the voltage on the battery? You did not say which fuse is blowing. Look at the post above and check which fuse is blowing. You symptoms idicate a battery going dead or no charging from the alternator.

If you look a the schema and video it shows that it is the battery fuse that is blowing .

Sorry just looked at the video. Yes it is the battery fuse that is blowing not the fuel pump. If your radio is acting up and you are hearing wierd sounds from your speakers, the lights do go up I would not worry about your fuel pump at this time. I would find what is shorted to ground to blow that fuse.
alternator is gone, battery maybe dying... but this was happening 3 years ago... before i put the car up... battery i think was new back then.... would bad grounds do this? i found out a year ago i had no frame rails and the ground wire on the right hand frame rail was broke.
the last owner put in a bull dog alarm system.... any ideals where the hell he would have installed it or what it looks like?
The radio wires are all sliced up too...its a stock radio... but was replaced or rebuilt in 2001... it has markings from service... the radio harness even has a blue wire for a power antenna which is cut in half...
