Sorry to bother anyone on Sunday but its my only day this week to work on car.
Got a canister filter from The Fiero Store and it is almost twice the size of the one I took out.

So, some questions
1. do I just cram this one in or do I trim with scissors.?
2. HOW do you open this thing? appears to be glued.? Other filter inside appears to be in bad shape.
3. How important is this?
4. Who has replacement canisters?

Thanx
Craig

Normally...
Pull out filter.
Push in new one. Use a small screw driver.

Too big?

Filter is almost same size as EVAP can. EVAP can has smaller opening to support the filter.

Give us a picture of a filter and EVAP can. (Use PIP, bottom page.)
If TFS mess up or you have a differed, non OE, EVAP can... Cutting it down is OK as long as it right filter material.

Hello Ogre,
I guess I should be a little more specific, the filter I removed from the canister is 4 1/2" in dia. The Fiero Store replacement filter is 5 1/2". It is actually 1/4" LARGER than the canister. Were there different sizes of canisters used over the years??

The canister feels heavy near the top and the inside filter looks really dirty and I can not find a way to open it. Should I replace the whole thing? and if so is there a supplier that you know of??????

Thanx
Craig
