I apologize if this question has been answered but I did a search with no luck.
I know the Fiero, Corvette, Camaro and Firebird used a lot of the same parts. I also know that the side mirrors are / were very similar. My question is this - Are all the power mirrors (inside the mirror housing) the same? Could I purchase a used Power Mirror assembly from a Corvette or Camaro and make it work?
Also, I'm assuming (LOL) that the mirror housing is already set up to accept the "power mirrors"?
All the Corvette power internals will mount in the Fiero power mirror housings, and vice-versa.
If you have Fiero manual mirrors though you can't just swap in the power stuff. Actually you can on one side but not the other, (can never remember which side it is though).

What year corvettes? Are the wiring plugs the same as the stock Fiero wiring harness plugs?
I had a dented passenger side power mirror and bolted the guts into a manual mirror housing with no problems. Jim
Yeah, now that I think about it, it's the passenger side that is interchangeable. The driver's side manual has a different mechanism inside for the cable and the mounting points are different than where the motor mounts up.
The 4th gen Vette, (84-96) used a similar mirror to the Fiero. The base of it is slightly different, but the internals are interchangeable. The connectors however, are not. You will have to do some cutting and splicing to make it work. The corvette also supports heated glass which you can add to your Fiero.
Sounds like it makes sense just to purchase the stock Fiero Power Mirrors.
Does anybody have any they would like to sell... cheap? I would need everything.
Cheap? I highly doubt you will find cheap. I paid $135.00 for my set over 3 years ago and another $40.00 for the wiring harness, and then finally, $35-$55 for the switch. And mine needed painting and new glass.
