Anyone know how to test the voltage regulator from a CS130 alternator? I'm rebuilding my old CS130 with a bunch of new parts, but don't want to spend $30 on a new voltage regulator if I don't have to.

My suggestion would be to bring the unit to one or two of your location auto part dealers and have the test it. I.e. Auto Zone, NAPA, etc. At most sites the service is free. That is of course if the alternator has been re-assembled.

What he said.... Put it together and test it on the bench at the store. Testing is free. Regulator, bearing, output amp, etc, will testing will sort that out.
