Who makes a wiring harness kit for this motor?

fosgatecavy98 makes a kit to work with megasquirt .the way i did my ecotec was to get the entire 2004 cavalier wiring harness including the BCM and ECM and the steering collum with the key still in the ignition .i later added the cavalier fuel pump and instrument cluster. i eliminated a lot of the harness as i adapted it to the fiero .my ecotec wiring only interfaces with the fiero ignition key .the fiero computer is not in the car .

is your ecotec turboed? How does it run with the entire cavy harness and you must have used the cavy dashboard too right?

i use the cavalier instrument cluster cut down to fit in the fiero dash .i made a plexi cover for it and ran some jumpers to activate turn signal and high beam indicators .the only engine mod was larger injectors . my 2.2 is turbo'd with a home made set up .the stock ECM runs a turbo very well with help from HP tuners and a snow water meth injection .

There are a few stand alone systems that you can get. They are very popular with the sand rail guys. I have seen some conversion kits on ebay that re-programs the factory ECU for stand alone operation. You send in your box and harness and they send it back ready to plug and play for about $500.
