so i sprung a decent leak. its coming from that heater core line coming off the pass side coolant pipe. i think a tampon would stop the leak. a mega flow one anyways. but thats not a solution to this.




well after looking at that picture, it looks like its coming from the main line...ill tighten that. but still wanna know about repairing that heatercore line if need be.

I got the same question! At first glance, I thought it was an A/C return line. How do you replace a crimped line like that?

split the crimp. It's usually Al.
Then buy new hose and clamp. Hose clamp on other end look bad too.

yup

i got a mirror on a stick and looked behind the parts i cant see the back of, and that heater core hose looks like rotting crap.

EDIT: hahahahah ogre, thats a nice smartass way to answer that.

well putting a clamp on the big line didnt do anything. it is the heatercore line thats leaking. the hose looks pretty bad. well see more in a bit...
