What do you call the body piece that is below the doors? You know the one that runs from wheel to wheel and includes the door sill?

Are they different for fastbacks, Formulas, and regular notchies?

There is a style of rocker that goes on the Formula and bumber pad notchie. Then there is a different style that goes on the Fastback and Notchie GT's. They are interchangeable on any Fiero, but will give you an entirely different look. There are some on here that have even put the formula rocker and nose on a Fastback. I believe it's Raydar from Georgia.

If I change from an aero rocker panel to a Formula rocker panel, will I need different fender skirts?

That probably would be the easiest, but I think the one little piece on the fender will remove. I just can't remember if there will be holes to fill or not. It's been awhile since I change my SE rockers to GT rockers.

It's the upper parts on the fenders and doors that I'm wanting to get away from. Has anybody just removed those parts and kept the rockers? Any pics?

The panels attached to the lower edge of the doors that tie in with the rocker panels. I don't like them. I like the clean look of the Formula doors and rockers.

You can take the trim peices off the lower part of the door but there will be holes in the door. It's easier to change from the Formula style to the GT/Aero style.

3 -3/8" Holes in 1/4panel, 5 holes in door, 1 in the fender. Each side . Then, (I think) you also have to change the metal rocker panels in the door jam also (*under the plastic) Are you ready to repaint the car ?

No, I don't even own the car yet. I'm trying to think ahead and figure out which options I have to have and which ones I can change.

I basically want the body of a Formula but it doesn't matter if it is an '87 or '88. I'm looking at Dukes also.

Same difference. The final look is the same.

You want something like this?

It is a Formula (88 was the only year of it) with a GT noze with a chin spoiler, I added 2 scoops, rear fenders are Imsa ribbed and the rear wing is on 5 inches legs.

You can build the same starting with any Notchback, except an 85 GT.

That is a wicked-awesome car! Absolutely beautiful. I want something similar however, I want the Formula nose, doors, and rocker panels with the GT rear bumper.
