you really should buy a factory service manual .im a little lost as to exactly what stage you are at ,did you pull the axles and stuff loose too ?

Well, I've taken the axles off, and 6 bolts. Now the trans is seperated from the engine, but not far enough it's bolted to the cradle somewhere, just not sure what I'm looking for exactly

Well, goin in for my CT scan this morning so won't make much progress, but when I get back you better believe that trannies coming down and that clutch is going in!

Last question (hopefully)... Wheres the oil fill plug on the tranny?

Scratch that, had started to put it together until I realized I had forgotten to put the clutch in
And then I realized that they gave me the wrong clutch at the parts store, so now I gotta wait to put it in...
