Does anyone have a picture of how the 3 cables come together underneath the front crossmember on the cradle? I can't seem to get it figured out for the life of me!

The Fiero Store has a map of the e-brake on their site, maybe that will help.

Here's the illustration from the 88 service manual if it helps.

OK, I replaced the calipers and pads, bled the brakes, and drove the car for a couple of days without installing the parking brake cables. Well I got new left and right cables from Autozone, and installed them, up to a point. I know how it's supposed to go together, but I can't figure out how I'm going to stretch the cables far enough to snap the main cable onto the right rear cable. I've got a gap of at least 4 inches between the cable ends. There must be a trick, right? Or maybe I'm just too dumb to figure it out.

Double check that you parking brake handle is fully released then go back and see if you can gain those 4-inches with the equealizer adjustment. 88 brake cables are different from the rest of the years, did AutoZone sell you the wrong ones?

Oops! Sorry! I put this question in the wrong thread. Mine is an 86 SE. But you bring up a good point, I think they may be the wrong cables. 4 plus inches is just too much of a gap. Does anybody know how long the cables should be? Or how much cable should be sticking out of the frame?

Left Rear = 29 3/4" Overall Length.

Right Rear = 32 3/4" Overall Length.

I captured that information for you as I was poking around the rockauto site looking for some parts, I didn't see anything specific on the forward cable length.

Double check the length against what you have, it is always possible for the manufacture to put the wrong cable in the box. Also double check which side of the car you installed them.
