Installation question, the passenger side fits fine, however the driver side, the latch for the trunk release gets in the way on the bottom of the cap and it will not fit correctly. Do i need to remove the latch mechanism first? And is it possible to remove it?

not sure if you have to remove it, but yes it is held on by bolts.

soory, its really dark where the car is located and its right next to a 69 mustang so i have to be very careful opening the doors, thus is why i didnt c it the first time.
