i have a full tank of bad gas that i want to get rid off.
its been sitting for over a year with a full take of gas and i didnt put any supplements to the fuel. i figured i would have it up and running but days turned to weeks. and weeks turned to months, and so on and so on.

how do i start the fuel pump so i can pump the fuel out of the fuel line to the engine?
i have an 86' duke and the duek engine is removed. so theres lots of room in the engine bay now :P
i was just gunna connect a hose to the fuel outlet hose and have it run into a fuel can and use it for my lawn mower or whatever.
i just need to know what wires i should connect to the battery. im sure its only 2 wires that i can cut. and connect to battery. and then i can reconect the wires back togeather again and call it good.

any one?

Orange wire off the ciggy butt lighter, double check your fuse first.

Here is another picture.

MY 3800 doesn't has an OBDII connector not ALDL so I use another approach when draining the tank.
Disconnect fuel line at the fuel filter. Clamp a 4' length of fuel line to the nipple on the filter. Put end of hose in a 5 gallon gasoline can. Disconnect fuel pump connector at firewall (Yellow connector) Bring connector down below the car ( make sure that its lifted) Make up two wires with male connector pins on the end. Plug one into the gray wire and one into the black wire position. Apply +12 V battery or battery charger power to the wire that goes to the gray lead pin and ground to the black wire pin. That will power up the fuel pump. For stock or 3.4L Fieros Pin G is the better way.

Paperclip in the fuel pump relay is the way I do it on all cars. Just dont grab the paperclip with your bare hands.

So, you jumper between ground the fuel pump relay terminals?

No, he said he applies power to the Fuel Pump Test terminal & that he uses the 12V lead to the ciggy lighter (Orange wire) as a source of that power.

i got it to work. all the old fuel is out
i just threw the gas in my jeep. seems to run fine with year old gas. no spuddering or antying. i was quite suprized and happy haha. its like getting free gas!!

the ALDL thing didnt work for me.
so i just unpluged the main wires from the back on the firewall. and did it that way. worked great.
