Quick question for the PFF Fiero experts..

I am in the middle of putting my 88gt (auto converted to 5spd) back together and I just realised something. I am using an ECM from an 87 5spd w/ my 88 auto wire harness. I understand some of the wires may not be used from the auto wire harness and that some connectors will need to be changed...

Question is; will all the relivent wires be the same? Will there pin-out location be the same?

Duno why I didn't think of this till just now! This Fiero has been a work in progress for well over 10 years; that is just now getting wraped up. I would hate to get her all back together, go to start her up; only to melt the wires and short out the ECM...

Thanks in andvance for any help you may be able to provide. You guys have been instrumental in my progress these last few weeks!

Sorry to not have any answer for you...but look like I finally found someone with the same project timespan . Mine is near 10 years out of the road, but I started my restoration project 4 years ago...and I think I only have the half of it done.

yes except the PROM. PROM for tranny.

One ECM pin will be shift light or TTC depending on PROM.

Started my Fiero up today for the fisrt time w/ rebuilt motor & tranny swap... The guages where all out of wack, nothing read right... The only guages that worked properlly were my aftermarket volt and oil psi...

The ECM that is in the fiero now is from an 87 se manual...
My Fiero is an 88gt, originally auto...

Could the 87 ECM cause my guage problems? Should I reinstall the 88 ECM and swap out the prom?
