ok stock 2.8 auto, been sitting for less than a month while i deal with other problems... went to take it out today, filled the tank and it was kinda hard to get it to idle, but after a few mins its just fine, putting around town (at 25) its just fine still, however on the way out of town (its 55 there) it starts to "chug" like its not firing off and on every second or so. and does so till im under 30mph. then its just fine again.

so i checked for codes, and only got the 12 nothing more.

it has a full tank of new gas
holds 41lbs of pressure (checked at the schrader)
all fluid levels seem fine
good oil pressure
alt (cs type) is at 14.4
newer battery

and it idles perfect (i tryed goosing it in nuteral and it still chugs)

where to start troubleshooting?

any help would be nice

thanks

get 1 helper. start car. you put hands over exhaust tips, have helper rev it up. if you feel no big increase in flow, you likely hava clogged cat. Mine did it parked at work for a day, was fine on the way in, could not rev it at all on the way home.

^^^^ all excellent little easy checks.

Also change the fuel filter and have the battery checked.
Fuel filters are the least changed generally and cause the most problems.
Some batteries can go dead just sitting with a low charge,I diagnose new batteries as bad every week (99% wal mart)

Get a free battery check at autozone, and buy a 10$ fuel filter in case something nasty sat in it for a month.
