I have just ordered the Flowtech After Burnewr 2 1/2" in, with duel 2 1/2" out muffler for my 4.9 swap. I guess I should have asked before I ordered if anyone has used this and how loud is it installed on a 4.9. I want a little rumble, but I dont want to have a headach after driving to Dallas and back from the Houston area.

It will probably be somewhere in the middle of these... Both have the flowtech afterburner 3" in dual 2 1/2" out.

On the highway the 4.3 car is very similar to the 2.8 as far as noise level. The SBC car starts to quiet down above 70 mph.

The Flotech afterburner Muffler is a bit loud. You can take the edge off and get a nice looks by installing a set of Heddman hot tips dual resonators but don't expect it to sound quiet.

The Afrer burner and a 70 series Flow master sound close. The flowmaster is a better built unit, more ezpensive. Stay away from the 30 series Flowmaster, has that backrapping at certain rpms.
