I have an 87 GT with a blown 2.8. My buddy has a lumina 3100 (bad engine) that he pulled. I have a line on a good, low-mileage 3400 for cheap. My round-about question is....

Can I use the flexplate from the 2000 3100 with 3400 and a TH125? I know I can just get a flexplate from a 88 fiero for $50 or so, but if I could use a free one that I already have, that would almost pay for my computer chip from Sinister.
Thanks

AFAIK the 3100 and 3400 crank is the same and neutrality balanced flexplate
off one should fit the other and bolt to your TH125 T/C

Go ahead and do a 4T60 swap while your at it, then you won't have that problem.
Better milage and top end is a benifit.

Of course that would be best, but it isn't feasible at this time. I'd like to do that eventually though.
