There is sapposed to be an L & U paint color code number on the spec. sticker, but there is only the WA-8558U, which is the upper red. There is no L number. So do one of you paint experts out there happen to have the silver L-number so I can get my paint mixed? I've got to get my rocker panels back on. Many thanks....Michael
Yeah, Pontiac didn't put the code on the sticker. Your local paint supplier will (or should) have the code & chip in their book. ~ Paul aka "Tha Driver"
Why do they call it reckless driving if it causes wrecks?

I went that route, and they could not find the code either...?
If they don't have the code in their book, they're not gonna' be able to mix the paint. Find another paint store. I think I still have the color for an '84, but it's different from later models IIRC. Wish I could be more help. ~ Paul aka "Tha Driver"

This forum is a kick! I like it when my problems help others. Thanks Indiana. Oh...P.S. You can see my car in action, missing rocker panels and all, if you youtube "hot 86 stock Fiero GT" (relativey speeking of course). It's the only stock '86 Fiero on youtube accelerating of the line, and the old man can still hit those speed-shifts. My son posted one of his '85 after installing a new phaze 2 clutch, but his friend drove it, and didn't know how (rpm's, speed-shifting, etc.) We'll do a good one when we get a chance. His tag is "testing out new clutch for '85 Fiero" or something like that..? Have a great summer every one!

I just had a rocker panel painted by a body shop and it was an exact match but I believe that they computer scaned and matched the color. You can take a panel to many paint suppliers and they can scan, match and mix the paint as well. I believe that silver was offered as a standard body color on Fieros for a year or two. That color is in the charts but I am not sure that it is thre same as the rocker panel silver. .

I have an 86 GT that's white on top and silver on the bottom. I had mine computer matched by a Dupont paint dealer. The color they came up with was D8848K Chromabase base coat clear coat. It was code GS4/DT9058, a 1994 Chrysler color, W Silver PRL Metallic. Maybe because of age and fading that's how it turned out but it is a perfect match.
