I assume this is normal since the cat is new, but just wanted to check.

I just finished getting the cat installed and fired the car up. After about 2-3 minutes I started seeing smoke. I figured it was from me touching the exhaust with possible some grease on my hands just burning off. I revved it a few times to see what it sounded like and I noticed that condensation came out of the exhaust. Is this also from the new Cat? I bought my cat from Rodney Dickman, its his high flo cat.

Will it continue to keep blowing stuff out, or will it stop eventually?

My car is an 86GT V6

Thanks,

Ken~

my entire exhaust is about 10 inches long, and I blow quite a bit of water out of it on a cold startup.

its normal to see water vapour come out of the exhaust on startup .once the exhaust system is heated up , you wont see it anymore .when mine is cold , water drips out of the clamped joints in my exhaust system .

Like they said its normal during the warmup period. If it does it all the time you may want to check for a head gasket problem or worse.

Check your oil level while your at it. You dont even want to know that story......
