I'm looking at pulling a luggage rack at a local yard. It appears there's a thin metal "U" shape cap that snaps over the base part of the spear. Is it just a matter of working a thin blade into the end of the "U" and gently working one side out of the groove that retains it?

I also spotted a notchback at the same yard with an IMSA type spoiler on the back. It's split at the top edge at one end. I don't know if it's worth pursuing as new ones are available. If anyone's interested its at http://www.blackroadauto.us/

Thanks,

~Neil

I it has been a while, but you need to remove the rubber inserts in the center of the channels. From there you will have bolts you can remove.

OK, I can see that now. Work one end up over the stop in the channel and slide it out.

Thanks, a "+" for you.
