Hey Everyone

I have a very concernong problem. After a winter of sitting I tried to start my 86 SE. It started fine and idles @ 1350 rpm. A little high but this car always seems to idle a little high when cold. I thought everyhting was fine until a minute later when the exhaust manifolads started to glow orange. The only thing I can think that I've done is change the O2 sensor. There was no problem when I put it away. I just changed the sensor cuz I thought it was due. Any thoughts?

High idle and glowing manifolds are common symptoms of a cracked EGR tube.

Clogged catalytic converter?

The EGR tube and valve are new and the cat should be good. Any other ideas? The IAC valve is new as well.
