Hello All,

I am nearly ready to swap a fastback roof on my Formula, and I'm trying to decide whether or not to keep the notchie drip rails (which end at the roof seam at the back edge of the side windows), try to find fastback drip rails, or to just "delete" the drip rails all together.

Anyone have useful experience here? If I simply delete the drip rails, will I have issues other than rain annoying me when driving with a window down a little? Or will this cause other water related issues? Personally, I think it'd look nice without any drip rails at all.

Thanks,
Gary

If you remove them, and they are in good condition, they are a salable item on ebay as they don't make them anymore.

I deleted them when I did the fastback conversion to my blue car.
Only issues are on rainy days if you roll the window down you will get dripped on some. If you stop at a drive through or ATM that is not covered you will get dripped on as well.

Not a huge issue for me and they have been deleted since 2001.

Guru, can we see a picture of the drip rail areas only? As in something much closer? Thanks!

I still have them on my GT but will be removing them. They look bad and trap dirt.

After I fixed the A/C in my Fiero, I deleted the drip rails. IMO, if you leave the windows open a lot (like if your A/C doesn't work), then driving in the rain can get pretty annoying with no drip rails.
