my 87 fiero needed a new head gasket so i went in and replaced that in the proccess i found out the head was cracked so i got a reman one along with some new head bolts when i put the new head on i torqued it to the proper specs in the proper order then transfered the old rocker arms too the new head from there i pot it all back together and now when i try to start it it will try for a couple seconds then it shoots smoke out on the throttle body

Did you set the valve lash properly? If you didn't the valves may not seal and you will have no compression in those cylinders.
