Right now I am tearing down my old 2.8 to swap some parts over to my new motor. I just pulled the upper Plenium off and notices that there are a bunch of thin black lines. Could some one tell me exactly what those are? what there for? I happened to break 2 of them because they are so damn brittle. Is that going to be a problem?

They are vacuum lines for various items. Rodney Dickman has stainless steel replacements if you want to go that way. But I think you have to buy the full set.
edit:You can use rubber hose to splice the broken ones back together, but like you said.. they are brittle

Yea thats what we came to a conclusion on after swearing up and down at it. I would also like to add, who ever invented that aluminum holder for the fuel injectors should be killed.

It is when the injectors are 20 years old and frozen in place

You got to rock it! Like the motion of the ocean. They are all a little tight until you get the hang of it.
