Hi Guys. I bought a remote central locking kit to fit onto my fiero, but I was thinking of not using the new actuators as my locks work ok, and just wireing up the control box to the actuator wires in the footwell just before the wires enter the door, then I won't have to strip the doors. Do you think it will work doing that? what wires should I connect the remote box to I only need to connect 2 wires to each door as im not wanting to use the indicator flashing signal, i only want to do it so I can have keyless entry.

It really depends on the kit. To figure out what you want to do, you can always disconnect the harness in the car itself, and test it by applying 12 volts to the wires. There should be a wiring diagram somewhere... I would do a search for Google if no one here knows...

I managed to fit my central locking to my fiero today, I didn't use the actuators that came in the kit, I just fitted the control box by joining the wires up to the loom under the dash where they exit the doors, and it works great now I have keyless entry.
