I was wondering if anyone has the plans, blueprints to make engine mounts for the 3800. I have a welder, and some steel and will, for sure, make my own mounts, but I was wondering it anyone has the dimensions.
As stated mount the tranny, line up the engine and make an engine mount to line up. I use the GTP engine mount bracket and weld a piece of 1/4" plate to it so it reaches out over the stock Fiero cradle mount point then use an older chevy truck rubber tranny mount to bolt the two together. The tranny mount has two tapped holes on top for 3/8" bolts on top and two hloes on the bottom for bolting to the cradle. I have done this way on many swaps and have had no problems at all and the tranny mount only costs $8. Dan

Mount engine to trans then trans to cradle, level all then get to work fabricating.
What he said.
Just get it where you want it, nice and low, centered and tilted to whatever degree you want front to back (you can do whatever you want here, I have considered a decent back tilt for some race theorys)
I made mounts out of whatever I found laying around, you can get creative, it isnt going to hurt anything. I used some older dodge truck mounts, simply due to how cheap they were, but if you can poke around a decent junkyard for some good rubber mounts, like I said get creative, you cant really do it wrong if you use your head.

i guess I was thinking that would be one less thing I would have to deal with when I get around to the swap. Trying to be proactive. If I could have the fabricated part in hand things would move quicker.

Good idea for a stick swap but one thing that we never address is how to mount the LATE ( 03-08) 4T65eHD. The left side has plenty of bolt holes but the right side has only one usable tapped holes. I purchased WCF's trans mount as they were the only source that figured out a solution and that was to use a pin in the bracket that fit in a hole in the block/bellhousing that made up for the missing bolt. In short it is easy to mount a 3800SC powertrain with a stick but far more difficult with the late model autos.

I loved doing my mounts, really gave me that satisfaction of doing it yourself, and I saved the $300+ if I got them premade.
I did mine in an afternoon after finding my rubber bits and such.

the front mount from a mini van(pont. transport<<??) will work for a front mount( there is some cutting involved) the tranny will mount to stock Fiero mounts
Why make them?

This mounts are so easily made, I am not sure why there is not just a blueprint floating around. I do appreciate those who are making and manufacturing these parts, but the prices are just a little too high to justify on my budget.
