Has anyone ever bought The Fiero Store's pre-molded carpet kits for their fiero??

They don't seem to have the original look (color wise), but are they just as good plus have the rubber protectants like the originals??
What I mean about "protectants" is the padded rubber under the pedals, right of gas pedal, and the pad under the fuse box.

Any opinions are welcome...

TIA,

I purchased one there carpets, it is pretty nice but not the same quality as factory. TFS carpet just comes with a thin layer of insulation beneth it, what I did was bought a couple rolls of heat / sound barrier padding. First I cut smaller pieces to fill in all the vallies on floor then I put a layer over the hole floor from the front all the way up the back to the window. As for the pads it has them under the pedals but not the one off to the left ( dead pedal). It is not just a direct replacement you have alot of cutting and trimming to make it fit right.

I purchased a set as well, and ended up with the same conclusions. I also added new sound deadener and insulation. I was happy with the results, but I would not say it was an easy swap out.

from what i know, all replacement carpets are made a bit bigger so they can be custom fit to the exact dimensions of the car. gotta heat the carpet up , stretch it, pull it, and cut it to make it an exact fit. even just yanking the stock carpet in the car is hard to get back in to the original shape it was. ive ran into that problem with a couple cars.

The Fiero Store is pretty awesome when it comes to their replacement parts. Most of the stuff is top quality, but there are a few things that are just too expensive to make in the same manner as they were.

I think the carpet is one of them...

I'm going to frequently hit the junkyard, and as soon as I find another carpet that's AS good as mine, I'll probably save it and wash it and keep it as a spare. There are just some things that you'll probably never be able to find again, considering the production numbers of the Fiero (compared with other cars).

Many times though, the Fiero Store has stuff that FAR exceeds that which was factory, like the headliner material and fiberglass backing... MUCH better than that cardboard crap that was stock...

The carpet that The Fiero Store sells is made by ACC. You can get it from other places cheaper. For example, if you order from Automotive Interiors and mention that Mr Mike sent you, they'll give you free shipping.

Honestly, the Fiero door panels are VERY well made and I've yet to see one that's actually messed up. If you need a replacement door panel, shoot an e-mail to Ed Parks. He'll be able to get you one in excellent condition.

I got one of the older FieroStore carpets, when the stock salt n pepper color style was still available. The fit and quality is OK. not great, the backing is too stiff and the carpet doesn't really settle down quite right. The padding that comes with it is generic and not fitted, and there is only a cheap looking heel pad. i removed the foam pad and heel pad altogether.

Here's my install:
