I've seen a lot of folks use an asterisk (220*) in place of a degree symbol (220°).

A while back, I was playing around with ASCII codes (ALT+ various numbers) and discovered that if you press and hold the ALT key, push 2-4-8, it will make the real degree symbol.

Just for Schlitz and giggles.

You can also use Pennock's superscript function with the lower-case letter o.

See the BBcode page: https://www.fiero.nl/forum/pffcode.html

I added spaces in the brackets in the following examples, since Cliff has no way to present PFF code as-is, but leave the spaces out within the brackets:

Superscript and Subscript
To raise (superscript) or lower (subscript) text, encase the text in either [ sup] ... [/sup ] or [ sub] ... [/sub ] tags:

It is 75[ sup]o[/sup ] here
It is 75o here

Something else that works: all the HTML special characters. That is, all that start with ampersand & end with a semicolon. This gives you access to a real apostrophe and true right - left quotation marks rather than the inch and foot marks that are on the PC keyboard. Want to use the euro symbol? It’s there €. Also £, ¤, ¥, ©, ™ ® along with fractions, Greek/Latin symbols and many others that you might need to use someday.

¿Quién sabe?

Oh, and the degree sign °.
